Thank you
To all those who made this possible...
First of all, I want to thank the Lord God for implanting this passion in my heart. He is the one who resourced this love of art. I thought when He called me into full-time ministry, that it meant I would give up on drawing. However, He simply was calling me to drop what was in my hands so He could transform it for His glory.
Thank you to my parents who were the constant support of my art journey. Even though I started this life with limited vision, you didn't let it limit me at all. When I started showing interest in art, you fueled that fire without hesitation. From collecting scrap paper from work so I had materials, gifting me a WACOM tablet, letting me check out all of the drawing books at the library, staying up late to help me complete art projects for competition, and even taking me to animation workshops and films. I would have never gotten to where I am without you guys. And even now, you started KiperteK Media so I could pursue this dream to be a Children's Book Author. I cannot thank you both enough and I wish one day I will be able to repay you both for all of the sacrifices you made for me.
Thank you to my siblings for enduring my crying and self-pity parties. You all inspire me and I look up to you. Thank you for being my first audience for every art piece I've ever done! You guys have always been my best critics and cheerleaders.
Thank you to my children who are the reason I do this. You are the reason I continue to dream. You are the reason I do anything. I hope you will always know how proud I am to be your mother--not because of something you do or accomplish, but just because of your character. Before intelligence or talent, continue to be strong, humble, and kind.
Thank you to my husband who is literally the angel on the shoulder who tells me, "Don't give up!" "You are loved!" "You are worth it!" You add the color to my black-and-white world. You are the sunshine to my rain. You are the warmth that melts my ice. Thank you for always pushing me beyond my comfort zone. Thank you for literally carrying our whole family on your back and being the best husband and father. People have no idea how lucky I am to have you in my life. Thank you for sharing your culture with me, and never doubting me for a second.
Thank you to my translators who believed in the cause and decided to share their language with the next generation. I know it isn't easy, so I cannot express my appreciation and awe enough. I could not do any of this without you. Thank you, Pastor Mark Juntado, Nieva Juntado, Amirhesa Ligutom, Terence Lustaña, Elaine Macasa, Mary Anne Eugenio, Rick Kiper and Judy Kiper.
Thank you to all of my readers. Each book is dedicated to you. I hope you will be impacted by each story and that God is able to speak to you through them. I know these books are more expensive than the average children's books in the Philippines. I hope you will find that it is worth the investment, and I hope you will share it with others.
